Product description:

Made of sound garlic, which have been selected, cleaned, peeled segments . The garlic segments are immediately quick frozen and stored at –18°C for 7 days prior to export.

 

Physical standards:

Appearance:                individually free from flowing pieces,no block found

Size:                       170-250pieces per KG

Colour:                     min 99% of white colour,typical of garlic

Discolouration:              <1%

Major defects:               <1%

Parts with roots:              Nil

Flavour and odour:           Typical of fresh garlic

 

Microbiological standards:

Total via ble count:             ≤50,000 cfu/g

Yeast & Mould:                ≤100cfu/g

Coliform:                     ≤10cfu/g

E.coli:                        Negative

Salmonella:                   Negative

Listeria monocytogcnes:        Negative

  

Storage and self life:

Retest after 24 months from production date. Recommended storage temperature is -18°C
